The Vista Ridge boys basketball team came up just short in a 56-50 loss in the area round playoff game against Spring High School Friday night.

Spring took an early lead but the Rangers roared back to take a 30-28 halftime lead. Spring then outpaced Vista Ridge in the second half, outscoring the Rangers 11-8 in the third quarter and 17-12 in the final frame to capture the playoff win. Joey Faglie led the Rangers with 17 points.
