Three local softball teams can declare themselves among the tops in Texas.
Now they have a chance to be the best in the nation.
At the 2010 PONY Regional South Zone Tournament in Kyle July 9-11, the CPYL Impact, En Fuego and Havoc all qualified for the PONY South Zone National Tournament to be played in Round Rock July 27-Aug. 2.
The Impact (9/10 year old Mustang division), coached by Terry Ham, won their bracket at the tournament to earn the Regional Champion crown. The Havoc (5/6 Shetland division), coached by Lisa Robinson, placed second overall and En Fuego (7/8 Pinto) placed third at the tourney under coach Brandee Smith.
