Rachel Freeman, a Cedar Park High School student and member of Girl Scout Troop 1783, collected 1,200 books for BookSpring, a local Reading Is Fundamental program aimed to distribute books to disadvantaged families.

After Williamson County has lifted its burn ban until Jan. 10, Fire Marshall Randle Blesing is reminding residents that a permit is necessary for any outdoor burning within city limits and within the city’s extra-territorial jurisdiction.
